Make sure that an empty databse is installed (using the setup package) on the target server before deployment.

Make sure that the service: “SQL Server Browser” is enabled and starts automatically. This is only valid for versions prior to 4.0.3.

Check that the service “OPDWinCC” is started. Make sure that it starts automatically.

Check that the service “OPDdb” is started. Make sure that it starts automatically.

THE AUDIT TRAIL IS MISSING IN THE JOURNAL ALARM LIST2023-01-16T14:48:28+00:00

1. The check box “Write Electronic Signatures” in the top left corner of the OPD Edit muat be checked.
2. The OPD messages (100000-100060) must be imported to WinCC using Alarm Logging editor. The messages are provided in a csv-file in the installation pacakage.

DO I NEED TO USE THE SQL EXPRESS VERSION PROVIDED WITH THE SETUP PACKAGE?2023-01-16T14:48:03+00:00

The OPD V4.2 will work on any SQL Server instance. The provided SQL Express installation is only optional. Select the SQL Server instance during the installation of the database package.

It is also possible to move the OPD database from one instance to the other using the OPD Database Tool.
